| The last set of pictures from our Summer Restaurant Week excursions = ) Holy cow, I am so super slow with these! But at least I put them up before Winter Restaurant Week began, right? Right. Anyhoo, here we go:

Bread basket. Because bread is important (look at a copy of your food pyramid if you don't believe me), and the spread is always a good indicator to me of how seriously a restaurant takes itself.

Tomato and arugula salad with a yummy fried eggplant concoction. Eggplant gooooooooood.

Chilled asparagus soup with smoked scallops. Still prefer my soups warm, but it was a warm muggy night so this was particularly refreshing.

All three of us got the halibut, which was served on a bed of the most delicious and tender asparagus spears I've ever had. I think the sauce was tomato/pepper based. Note to self: figure out how to cook asparagus so well!

They had a fancy name for this one (well, actually, fancy names for all the plates) but this was basically a fairly solid vanilla custard served with fresh blueberries and blueberry sauce. Didn't care for the cookie on top, but hey, I'll take (almost) anything with blueberries = )

Dark chocolate cake with fresh whipped cream and something that looks like an inflated Hershey's kiss. Haha there goes my rep as a professional foodie = P Good stuff, but quite heavy. I think we had difficulty finishing this one...
| I guess I'm going in reverse order here. Grotto was the second place me and my fellow foodies hit up for Restaurant Week this summer:

Cheese fondue with steak tips and portabella mushrooms. *mmmmmmm* fondue....

Country pate with cherries. Maybe it's my Chinese upbringing, but I'm really quite partial to organs. Now cherries, cherries I'm impartial to.

Crab ravioli with asparagus, tomatoes, almonds. Not sure these were fresh, but they were hella good, and stuffed. Yay for crab, especially minus all the work!

Crispy duck leg, bacon-wrapped stuffed duck breast, and a hunk of potato. So...much...delicious...duck...

Tagliatelle pasta with lobstah (hehe), roasted tomatoes, and a killer sauce. What's not to love?

Diver scallop "ravioli" with the most gargantuan scallops I've ever freaking seen. This dish also made me realize I only like my arugula raw, not cooked.

Vanilla flan with a sesame seed bottom(?) and raspberry sauce. Not the best flan I've had, much too solid for my taste but I dug the raspberry sauce.

Banana bread pudding with caramel ice cream, walnuts. More bread than pudding, but still yummy yummy in our collective tummies.
| The menus are up for this summer's Restaurant Week(s)! It runs from August 5 - August 10, and then again from August 12 - August 17. Dinners are $33.07, lunches are $20.07. Make reservations and be prepared to stuff yourselves with all sorts of delectable yummies = )
